Most of the reviews were pretty accurate. It seems there have been some improvements;

I am very pleased with this knife. It can sharp from the factory, not razor but still pretty sharp. The knife itself feels pretty solid for a non-full tang knife. This knife will work perfectly for my son as his first camping knife. Everything is there and works. The compass seems to work perfectly fine.

The items stored in the handle are fair, minus the pencil and the band-aid. Everything else should work well if you have nothing else.

He love it

The knife itself is "large" and reasonably well made for the price. It, along with the smaller blade will hold an edge and is quite shart. NOTE: the blade is over 8" long.

This was a gift and the person I got it for loved it.
